Problems with rear door latch on my Ford Escape 2001?
I have a Ford Escape 2001 and the hold up door is not functioning properly. I have the keyless entry system but I know it is not the remote but something to do with the latch. I took the car to the dealer and they need to charge me about $500 to fix
The a number of small moving parts that comprise a latch assembly are very prone to giving problems, not the least of which are the latch won't unlock with the actuator, the door constrain won't work at all, the latch won't engage or disengage.

Granted, I spin savagely 5 mph under the limit, but I still prosper righteous point with mammoth mileage....
